Yep, this will do either pretty well but I would say the balance slightly favors SQL more than SPL. Stick it in a sealed enclosure and it's got the stroke to get down and dirty, or stick in a vented enclosure and it's got pretty decent BL and thermal capacity to drive a port. This would also destroy in a home setup!

I normally polish the motors but I just don't have the time I used to have at my disposal. Someone else can do it if they like that sort of thing. The last one turned out pretty well.
