well it started out as a oem10.

and now it is this.

seems that the glue used to attach the top plate sucks big time.

i am attempting to salvage the driver since the voice coil wasn't destroyed.

now i just need to find a glue that will actually hold it together.

well there wasn't that much of it.

and in spots it was still sticky.

so i immagine it was either bad glue or something else in the process went wrong.

Not the easiest to reattach a top plate once things are magnetized. You need to be careful and make a nice long gage to slide things back into place while the glue dries. (pinching fingers between a top plate and a stack of charged magnets is less than fun) You wont have much of a choice recentering the "top assembly" either as you are relying on the 6 mounting screws to the top plate and not the soft parts around the pole piece. But, considering the gaps are normally a little on the larger side it should be good.
