Tattoos

I'm starting to strongly consider getting a tattoo so I'd like to hear some discussion about them. Let's hear your thoughts about them, pictures of yours, ideas you have, ect.

This is the one I'm thinking about getting put on my leg -

I've always been a fan of a good looking reaper and I think the flag shroud is a nice touch. I'm going to hold off atleast another month or two to see if my feelings about it change. I certainly don't want to get something perminantly imbedded in my skin that I like now but won't 1, 5, 20 years down the line.

Yeah I would highly suggest taking your time, I wanted one so so bad about a month ago, now I am going to take time to think about it, because I just dont feel the same way about it.

IMO, getting a tattoo is a very personal thing, doesnt matter what any of us think, its your body, and it'll be there til you die

I have already posted my tat before but I will post it again just in case if anyone didn't already see it. I don't really care for the flag on the reaper but if you like it thats all that is important. My only advice is to be sure that you are positive about what you want and do lots of searching before making a final choice. I suggest checking out http://www.bmezine.com/tattoo/bme-tatt.html and searching for some grim reapers they have tons of good tattoos.

I'm thinking about getting my name done in Armenian on my leg...I've got a friend that does graphic design, thinking of having him do some work with it once I get the basic script/font down.

I agree with Brock - unless it's unique, IMO it's not worth having on your body for the rest of your life. Unless you really want the expense and pain of having it lasered off when you get tired of it.

I also second the recommendation of checking out BME. I can imagine why it's illegal, they have some very weird stuff on there, have you ever seen the sample video they have up right now? But it is also an excellent resource because they have any endless suply of pretty much anything you can think of. What do you its illegal?

you want to make sure you are positive that you like the design and can live with it the rest of your life. i'm going to have a portrait of my daughter done on my bicep area eventually. just trying to find the right picture.

one other thing to consider is the actual tattoo artist. check out some of the previous work by him and the shop.
