I added a transmission temperature gauge to my van since I use it to haul heavy loads and I tapped into the head unit 12v, ignition, ground and limitation. Will or can this affect my head units performance ? So far I don't see or hear any issues but I'm not a electronic technician and am not sure.

there's a lot of better places you could of tapped into lol but thats such a small loud it shouldnt an issue, although i still wouldnt do it..

It's a led light and whatever drives the needle to move up and down. The wires are very small. I know I should tap in but it was so close like 12" away and easy to tap into. Hope I'm not draining or affecting anything.
