Tang Band W5-1138SA (5.25") as midbass?

Any opinions on this driver as a dedicated midbass in the 60-100hZ range? I've had my eye on the TB W6-1139SG (6.5") for awhile but this driver may fit my needs just as well since it needs less power and it would be less work to make it fit in the doors of my '98 CRV.

I'm just looking for more midbass upfront. My Aura comps would handle 100 hZ and above.

I bet it would work well from 50 to 200Hz sealed IB in your front doors. It's just hard to get much low end without displacing a lot of air. Even with nearly 10mm Xmax the 5.25 cone is your biggest drawback.

Yeah, that was my main worry as well. That being said, I'm not looking for massive output anyway...just some additional midbass since my Aura mids are a little light in that regard.

In a perfect world, I would go with the TB 6.5" in a heartbeat but it would take a fair amount of work to get them to fit seamlessly in the factory locations in my doors. For the most part, the 5.25' version is practically a drop-in replacement so I think I'm gonna go in that direction. If it doesn't quite meet my needs then I'll upgrade to the 6.5's.

The main obstacle will be snaking 16 gauge speaker wire into the doors. I'm pretty sure the V has molex plugs in the doors and I've been reading online tutorials to deal with those nasty suckers.
