Sort of a practical thread for the Thunderdome, but it relates to car audio in that I can't work on my install in the snow...
Anyway, here in CT we get 2 kinds of snow - deep powdery stuff (it's doing that now), or wet slushy stuff. I have a 15 yr old Craftsman 2 stage blower that handles up to 10" of powder OK but last year we had mega blizzards that brought it to its knees. And those frozen ice rocks that the plows leave at the end of the driveway were impossible. The wet slushy stuff just clogs the chute and it's useless.
People tell me that the single stage flapper type blowers handle slush pretty well. But they don't have reverse or multi speeds and I dunno if I can manuever one in my crowded driveway.
So I'm thinking I need a monster 13 hp blower for the serious blizzards and a small single stage to clear sidewalks of slush. Recommendations?
And dunn suggest moving to Florida...
