well i was cleaning out my closet when i found my brutus 1500d the one that died on me after 4 hours BLAH. Well right now my system is in shambles becuase ive been paying for college apps and senior project costs soo im pretty low on funds. so i dont have a decent amp. back to the point how much would it cost to fix my brutus. i know no one can tell w/out looking at it but whats a rough estimate. It still powers up (hifonics name glows) protect light is not lit just no output...thanks for the help and the ability to read my incoherent writing.

I have a lanzar 1500d that did the same, powered up with no protect light. It just gave no sound output:( . I have been told that lanzar and hifonics amp are alot alike on the inside. It turned out to be a solder that had broken inside the amp on one of the components. I had it fixed for about 10 bucks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif believe it or not. I was ready to buy another amp untill I opened it and saw this.

hey man open it it up it probly one of the ampries thats not hard to fix you can eather pull it off or you could try to find one of the same size and solder it back in place it won't a thang to just pull it out and leave it the ampries are the thanks that attach to the heat seank so try that and see what you get

am i looking for a wire or something else....?

revrider1...Where did you get yours fix and what was wrong with it?

I got mine fixed locally, One of the solders had broken on a capacitor. I was told it was due to having my amp mounted on the box, and the vibration had caused it. I dont know if this is true or not:rolleyes: , but I mounted it right back on there and have yet to have a problem with it:crap: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif .

I touched a voltmeter to my screen and couldn't find any resistance on the number 6 and 9 mosfets. Thats where your problem lies. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It would be hard for anyone here to tell you whats wrong with it just by looking at pix. Honestly, if you don't know what your doing, don't try to fix it. The electrostatic (??) from your body could end up ruining alot more than any singe piece you are trying to replace, if you end up touching something your not supposed to..like the little microchips.

Just send it to KBAudio or some repair center, or put it up on Ebay as broken, and take what you can get for it.

with spelling like that, how did you make it out of 1st grade?

please stop helping people get even more confused than they already are.
