Tactical Transducer AKA Bass Shaker ?

I have a Sound Quality system. It can get very loud but not a earth shaker. It was brought up in another thread that some really enjoy music down to 15hz. My current system has very little output below 25hz.

So I'm thinking a tactical transducer crossed below 30ish hz might bring back some of that ultra low stuff in a way that would not take up any room and minimal added strain to the electrical.

Anybody have any experience with them in a car? good or bad.

I found 2 that seem to perform below 20hz.

Clark bass shaker 15hz- 800hz

Clark Synthesis TST209 Tactile Transducer Bass Shaker

Buttkicker 10hz-350hz

ButtKicker BK-mini-LFE Mini Low Frequency Effect Transducer Bass Shaker

I've found a couple of good feedback about them in cars (i imagine getting them in phase and even tuning them might be challenge) They're not expensive so im thinking i will give one a try.

One of my questions is sense my van seats are bolted to the floor would it make much difference weather it was mounted to the floor under the seat or do you think it has to attached to the seat?

I've sat in a couple cars that have used them (the AURA version back when they first came out) and they're quite impressive. Ideally zip tie them or otherwise firmly affix them to the seat (springs) or otherwise embed them in the cushion or seat back. Just remember they are not a reactive load so don't try to over-power them or count on impedance rise. They shouldn't take too much power for what you're after anyway.

Wavelength at 35hz and down is way too big to worry about phase problems in a car.

Thanks for the input, I think this will be a fun addition. Attaching it to the bottom cushion may not be possible with the power seat motor and rigging and all.

I would think attached to the frame the vibration would be less localize than the the cushion. I guess I'll be doing some more experimenting.

I'm hoping the Clark version being "10 times stronger than the Aura pro" has enough umph to work attached to the frame others the cushion it will be.
