T1001bd Vs Kx1200

guys im really shocked about this but i had both amps and the kx1200 seemed better....i didnt have to turn the gain up at all and it would get crazy *** loud....i didnt have to turn my bass settings up either.....then i got the bd1000 which i thought was suppose to be a better amp.....i have the gain halfway up and my settings up and it doesnt compare to the kx....wondering what your thoughts were on these 2 amps are?

And what RF amplifier do you have? In the title you list the T1001bd, but then in the post you say bd1000 ?

the newest power amps out power t1001bd the beefy lookin one.....and yea the gain does matter b/c i had the same cd player and everything the only thing i switched was amps....and the kx gain was all the way down...if i even thought about turning it a little it would overpower the sub bad and i didnt even have the bass boost all the way up btw....with the fosgate i have my bass boost maxed my bass settings all the way up and the gain halfway and i even turned the frequency knob to 80 hertz and it still dont compare to when i had the kx1200

And if the amplifiers have different input sensitivity ranges, then the gain setting will be different for both of them.

But in the end, they are both killer amps

well i do believe the 1000x1 at 1 ohm is rated at 12 volts not the usual 14.4 but im not sure about the KX

I know from personal experience that the RF Power amps put out excellent power. I think they are heavily underrated if anything.

I couldn't imagine ANY amp rated for the same power kicking its *** by a wide margin.

yeah i had a 1000bd and it put out well over the rated 1000 watts cause it was rated at 12 volts and my truck puts out 14.4 at idling and about 16.0-16.0 at casual driving so that thing slammed, long story short its gone and im still pissed about it

Uh, every rockford I can remember was rated at 14.4.....never used any of the newest ones though.

As for the kx1200..its rated at 14 as well

well this year as well as the oval style fosgates were rated at 12 but i could be wrong...but i do know the Type RF was rated at 12 volts

the t1001bd is full power at 14.4 volts not 12....oh yea i had 4 guage wire in my kx1200 and 2 guage in my t1001bd....if i would have put 1/0 guage in my kx1200 it would have sounded better probaly
