For speakers we went with 2 sets of CDT CL-6x.

Here is the old stock speaker...

Havent listened to em yet though i had to make mounting rings since they wouldnt fit in the stock mounting holders. I love working on freakin hondas they are SO straight forward and easy.

anywayz lets get to the point....I had an RE8" that i built a box for, .75 cubes to 32hz. I was planning on using this for the bass, but after testing it it had some rattle to it, so i just hooked up to the wall the next day (which i have a video of). So now i need to replace it with something. no amplifier yet so impedance does not matter, but the subwoofer must work well in this box and be an 8". My choices are either....

1. just get another RE8

2. get a Koda8

3. get a powerbass eds8

What would u guys pick......The PB sub looks pretty sexy, im really leaning towards it but i dont know.

Yeah, either TangBand or a Koda 8. Nice stuff, nice pics.

I strongly believe in: "If its worth doing, its worth doing right."

But I kind of am curious why she has a $280 HU and CDT speakers.

Why not like a Pioneer 3600 and some Pioneer 3way speakers? hehe, seems to be living luxurious! Either way, I like it and good work. -Matt

more information on the tangbands please.....

and i wouldnt let me girl get some junky sutff, if shes gona be my gf shes gotta know how we do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

aight well we finished up the doors, we couldnt do the rear because we neeeded a key that she didnt have to open up the rear deck. but after listening to the CDT's just up front off deck power....WOW. hands down the BEST coaxials i have heard for the money. no question about it. They are very clear, bass isnt great, but this is expected. especially for only for being off the small amount of power the internal amplifier puts out. Very impressed, and thats with room for improvement because i havent even messed around with the receivers settings yet.

here are the pics of how i installed em...

made a speaker ring so mount them since they would fit in the doors, and put sound deadener around that area, pre drilled new holees and screwed em in. worked perfect.
