I haven't even used the Type R...but you haven't seen me saying anything about its capabilities, rather the capabilites of the other woofers in question that quite a few people are putting down. it would take alot for the alpine 2 do that, 1, it doesnt like high notes. exceeds 45hz and down. most cars doin that numbers is at like 60+hz, which i dont really care for, it excites me more when someone breaks a 150@ 40hz and lower. but if it was that serious a 175 could be possibly down wit some Rs.

DD still seems to be holding down dB Drag. RE is making a name for themselves though- a LOT of big time dB Draggers have switched to RE woofs. The Europeans all use SPL Dynamics/DD still though...and they are still putting up bigger #'s then the US lol.

im not dogging re either not the point to any of my posts my point is set up . alot of woofers are good enough but all falls back on YOUR set up. your mt wouldnt be a monster without ur skill u give it the extra 10 db u make it work better to get the numbers to win u could change woofers and still win

Depends what class...several of them use bandpasses.

A LOT of people went to bandpasses this season...a few street cars in the US are using them this season with great results.

We plan on doing a few of our cars with bandpasses next season.
