I daily my MT...it wangs. And dare I say it...it sounds good doing it too. I'm not going to win a SQ comp when they break out the RTA...but it sounds just as good as many other subs people daily. And it ****S people up on the TL...

I'm on neither side, I don't care. I hate bandwagons, I hate people who are whores of any company, including RE and Alpine.

Whats my point you might ask?

Its all in what the owner wants their system to do. Do they want all sq with not much spl? Do they want a sub to play one note and play it at 150+db? do they want a loud daily driver that does 145db yet still plays music somewhat decently? Its all in what THEY want THEIR set up to do...

Headrest doesn't like high notes in my very little experience metering there...lower notes=teh better AFAIK.

Drag and MECA are a whole diff. ballgame. I think Drag is making an attempt to get more street cars involved (Bass Race this season). Steve Meade was doing 156's in a daily system tuned around 30hz IIRC.

Also have to remember that meca scores are outlaw meaning a 2-5db or more increase compared to dbdra.

Not necessarily. Completely vehicle dependent. Some guys lose 2-3 dB's while others may lose 5+. My truck REALLY hates being sealed up, no matter where the sensor is. street setup in the blaze... with a low note the loss from kick to dash sealed up was less than a db.
