SX screw holes messed up on basket?

Okay so I'm finally putting in the SX and I go to look for the spots for the wholes on the thing around the sub (rubber thing.. can't think of the name) and its not matched up with basket.. is this normal or what? .... anyways well i pulled back on that rubber piece on the bottom and I could also see that the holes for the screws on the basket were filled with the surround/adhesive... what do i do?

The rubber gasket slides around move it so it lines up. Just poke holes through the surround where they are appropriate.

yea, the surround covers up the mounting holes, and the glue goes down in them, nothing different from all the other subs that use the 12spoke basket //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

sounds like its glued down and adhesive is ripping when i do that, cause i've already tried it (yes on the gasket not the surround i'm not THAT stupid //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

DONT just screw through the subs surround, the screw will grip it, then pull the surround, and mess it up...

cut through the surround thats over the holes first...
