for the bottom, cut out 3x3 blocks of mdf, and thread them thru that. cut a hole in bottom of box just big enough for nut and washer, and put the block down above it and screw it into place. the original vid had a good shot of the bottom in it, but it got editedi understand how you connect them on the outside.. but what about the bottom? the box would be thrown off balance

use a BIG washer and nut on each side of the mdf, the inside and outside. big washer= more surface bracing area![]()
so esentially, my box will be sitting 3/4in off the floor, on a couple 3x3 blocks?for the bottom, cut out 3x3 blocks of mdf, and thread them thru that. cut a hole in bottom of box just big enough for nut and washer, and put the block down above it and screw it into place. the original vid had a good shot of the bottom in it, but it got edited

Think of countersinking the ends of the rod in. The big hole is for the countersink, then the block goes inside with the hole barely big enough for the rod to fit through.so esentially, my box will be sitting 3/4in off the floor, on a couple 3x3 blocks?
