Switching Distribution block, Necessary to disconnect battery?

Im going to switch out my distribution block for another one, Do I have to unplug the negative battery terminal?

Yes, always disconnect so you don't have a complete circuit, don't want to go shorting something out do you?

Agreed and even though 4th of july is almost here.......sparks and popped fuses (at best) are still no good.
