Sweetest HUs?

I was listening to someones car yesterday, 1st thing I noticed was the HU, an Alpine CDA-7998, that is one sweet HU, one of the best features: You don't have to remove the face! It hides away... and the way the menus look, the parametric EQ, etc, are all wonderfull... but no ipod support I understand... big time bummer... Why not get a Alpine MP3 changer for it....on 6 disc you can put about 1200 songs...even compressed its better SQ than an IPOD

Processing is procssing. I haven't seen anything the imprint can do that other processing cannot do, besides move from car to car.

If you have an Alpine with direct Ipod interface, the DAC in the headunit really cleans it up, especially if you have one with the 24 bit DAC (W205).

But yes, burned on a CD-R it will come out cleaner than just from the iPod

Processing is processing, but the imprint does it for you. With the 7998 you have to do it yourself.

P9 and the 9255 are very (dare I say) beautiful looking decks. They are BOTH also very beautiful sounding head units when tuned right.

Therefore..................................SWEET

sweet looking my old jvc avx2...best sounding....not sure on that one...i liked the sound on it but it lacked options...now i have 9855 and shitload of options but not as good sound

I also LOVE my HU/EQ combo. best one ive had. went thru pioneer 3900/4800/5900/6900. Alpine 9885. This clarion setup I have is my favorite by far. i LOVE it. The custom colors you can make are amazing. right now mines a dark, but bright hot pink. ill take a pic of it tonight. i made the color myself. its so sexy. looks good with the blue illuminated EQ. nice color combo
