Sweet honeybee of infinity

I'm sure someone you know got splattered by some lush in your recent past and I'm sure that hurts, but guess what? Tragedy is funny.
We all know the saying about making assumptions, right?

'Nuff said.

No - nobody I am close to was ever unfortunate enough to cross paths with someone of your diminished capacity (though kudos for a better than average vocabulary when compared to more than a few members of our fine forum here).

Do I have to have been personally affected by such moronic behavior to have an incredibly dim view on drunk driving overall? If I haven't experienced loss as a result of it am I somehow not qualified to be so outspoken against it?

Get a clue.

What I don't understand is how you had time to start swerving in a 2 block trip. Another suggestion would have been to push the car home. Don't get me wrong, I see nothing wrong with having a few drinks and driving afterward or durinig. But NOT being hammered enough to be driving like a fool. Fact is, MOST people that do something bad with their cars THOUGHT they were under control.

In all seriousness, I don't think there was a problem with 2 blocks. But next time WALK !! Would that 2 blocks seemed too long today compared to jail??

Again, I'm not judging you as I do a little of this myself. Nobody's perfect.

what if your mother and children would have been between him and those 2 blocks, would it be okay then?

I'll admit there is NO TOO SHORT of a distance to be in an accident. So I guess you do have a point. A little under the influence and "DRUNK" are to completely different things.

But I can't throw a stone at this guy when I've done the same thing.

If he had walked, he would have been exposed to the police longer, thus possibly resulting in a 'drunk in public' charge.
thatd still be better than manslaughter, dumbass..

thats why you shouldnt party unless youve already setup accomodations for travel...

if you tell the cops, I was too drunk, so i decided to walk, Id be surprised if they messed with you... they may even thank you

if they catch you dui or apc, well, thats 'nother story

Niiiiiiiice real classy there. Kinda glad my school work keeps me locked up inside for most of the day/night so I don't have to worry about getting run down when walking around the city. 2 Blocks like come on, who ever bothers to move their car for 2 blocks in the city. Keep the streets of Boston and walk next time least then you got the buildings and light poles to keep you from weaving and swearving too bad.

Who else is insanely hungover today?
I kept drinking JD from the bottle as if it was water like I had something to prove, every time the reaction was more horrified I drank more and acted like it wasn't horribly disgusting to keep stepping it up a notch.

Well, fast forward a few hours and I'm weaving all over the road, somehow managing to park in my parking space, and stumbling up to my apartment to start making at least 7 different meals, all of which were inexplicably abandoned in favor of falling asleep with all my clothes and shoes on.

Life is stupid.
thanks for driving *******

Stirring the pot is fun.

One night at school I was walking home from the bar (15 minute walk, 2 minute drive, i made the smart choice), a cop pulls up behind me and asks me what I'm doing.

I inform him that I'm walking home from the bar. He runs my I.D. and sees that it's clean, and offers me a ride home. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I guess it depends on the area that you're in, and the cops in your area, but I feel that more often than not a cop would rather see you walk home drunk then get behind the wheel. One thing is a public nuisance at worst (pending that you don't break shit or do stupid crap on your walk home), while the other can possibly end up in tragedy.

While I'll admit that I've driven while over the legal limit, I never like to do it and will try to avoid it at all costs.
