Swapping VIN Tags.....

Is it hard to get caught swapping the VIN tag on a vehicle ? It seems to be held in place with a couple of rivets...What are the ways of getting caught ? I have a friend wanting to know...I wasn't sure what to tell him...

He offered me $20 cash to change it for him...because I have a rivet gun...he got one and a title off a wrecked car...the one he wants it swapped on has a screwed up title he can't get straight....I wasn't sure but i do I know he paid for the good car...

prolly wont fly because usually the vin is on multiple components of the vehicle plus youd prolly have to take the windsheild out,

its usually on the dash the block and the door sill

You can do the job but if he ever tries to carry collision insurance and they verify the vin to the frame and etc hes gonna be up **** creek. Vin is probably in the dash, on the door, and under the hood on the fenderwell at the minimum.

My 66 'Stang has it on the door, the dash, under the hood, and on the frame rails in the back of the car.
