I don't take a lot of supps compared to some of my other bodybuilding and powerlifting friends. Here is my regular list of what I use:
Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein - using chocolate mint flavor right now. Great stuff.
Muscle Pharm Creatine - Really good creatine with a bunch of different types besides just mono. A lot better than that Kre-Alk bs that I used to use. No loading phase either.
ON Glutamine - Just glutamine, so yeah adds more to the protein mix.
Driven Sports Craze- Excellent pre-workout. More on pre-w/o's in the next paragraph.
Gaspari Detonate- Great Fat burner, only use it when I want to shed some bodyfat and cut back on how much I eat. So like for Basketball season and summer.
Glucosamine+Chondroitin for joints
Fish Oil for Omega 3's
Kirkland Performance Multi Vitamin
I have tried several pre-workouts. Muscle Pharm Assault is pretty decent. My only gripe is that the scoops are large so you have to drink a lot of water at once. Gives a lot of raw energy to me, like super pumped up want to bang some drums and headbutt people energy. Craze is my favorite so far. Not as much energy as Assault, but it improves focus quite a bit, also really small scoops so you don't have to drink a whole lot. NO Xplode is garbage, 'nuff said. I want to try C4 and I sampled some Jack3d which was okay. My buddy got a free tub of Bodybuilding.com Platinum Scream. He says it's by far the best he has used but it's like $.80 a serving so really pricey.
Pre-w/o's have really helped me in getting my workout routine more regular. Once you take the stuff you want to go workout. Before I used to go frequently, but there were some days or weeks where I was just exhausted from school and work and lacked the motivation to go. I highly recommend the stuff.
Also, idk where you want to order from but I like Bodybuilding.com. I don't really order stuff as they have a store here since they are a local company to me and I have some friends that work there. Great company. The people that work in the physical store don't bs people and recommend good products. Their website has a lot of good reviews on products as well.
Let me know if you have any questions. I'm not an amazing athlete, bodybuilder or anything like that by any means. But I do love working out.
