SUPER SHALLOW box

okay so i have a 12' JL woofer laying around and was curious if i would be able to fit it into my single cab older toyota pickup it has barely any clearance behind the seat i have maybe 8 inches at the very bottom and about 2 at the very top would i be able to build a box say 4 inches deep and fire the woofer into the box at the bottom i know it would fit, but would it work?

the box would be sealed i can make the box as wide and tall as needed but would it even work?
