Super Loud and Super SQ Subs... (Fi, RE Audio?)

i would just have to say this board isn't the best place to ask about SQ subs.
by his description he's looking for "SQL" anway. 2x12 or 1x15 ported tuned low, you know the routine. Not really sq, but it at least plays most music decently and makes rap loud.

i don't think the OP did much research before making this thread
x 10

if you have the money get a tc 5200. amazing SQ and they abort babies with sound waves //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

my 18 was doing 146dB in 4cubs @ 34Hz on 2500w+............with stellar SQ

id say idmaxes, new idq's, si mag, fi q, jbl w12gti, brahma, tc sounds lmt

i will this this, u can buy a sq driver or any driver for that matter and put it in a correctly designed box and it will sound good. most of all of car audio is install dependant.\

Exactly what i am looking for....

I am lookin for at least 1600 watts...

i disagree with every suggestion stated.

First identify the type of system you would like

because this is your first system, I suggest a sealed application of 1 or 2 drivers at a good budget.

So you want loud mate, but accurate to the bone, then listen here.

1. Sealed or IB

2. 1200 rms is all you need

3. no need for a flat BL curve.

drivers I would pick from

2 Dayton titanic or HO

2 Diyma

1 10w7

2 Peerless XXLS

2 rl-i

tc2+ motors are generally descent sq drivers

You can't really get both since they are really two different ends of the spectrum (at least once you put the "super" in front). Sound quality is about accurate reproduction of sound or music and loud is just trying to peak your system for maximum SPL. Nothing about accurate musical reproduction is loud and nothing about loudness sounds accurate (unless you just enjoy listening to jet engines or standing in front of a pro bass stack). So the only compromise is subs that get somewhat loud (to the average person at least) and don't sound like shit (compared to "loud" systems, anyways). That is my opinion of "SQL".

I love my Q......

Having owned in the past about a dozen different so called

super subs the Q owns em all.......The Mag is supposed to be a little stronger

than the Q but they were out of stock a few months ago when I was shopping for a new 12

so I passed......IDMAX gets allot of props for SQL on these boards but they also have allot of

"My IDMAX Died" threads as well, apparently they aren't so durable....
