As 1250 is our warranty range that is our "official" what they can actually take number.
In terms of what is going on in the driver... the coil surface area is on-par with the Z line; but the coil is a less costly 4-layer round CCAW compared to 8-layer flat. So thermally you have alot of breathing room.
Mechanically all of the new drivers are above level of all older models. An X woofer has more mechanical capacity than any older NS v.1, NS v.2, Z v.1, Z v.2, or Z v.3 woofer.
