Sundown SAX-1200D Vs Audiopipe AP18001D

Which amp would be better for (2) 12" Alpine Type R's in a ported enclosure in a Chevy Astro (4.3L) with factory electrical (Big 3 is done)? I bought an AP18001D last week and it just arrived today, then last night I saw a Sundown SAX-1200D for cheap so I swiped it and I am trying to decide which amp to keep. I figured that the Sundown would be a better amp due to efficiency. I currently have a Power Acoustik amp installed and the voltage drop is bad, and I am hoping this will help it as well as get me cleaner power.

Also I have seen clamped numbers on an AP 1500 doing rated, so I assume that the 1800 does rated. The Sundown I have read will do 1200W @ 12.6v, so I am hoping to get around 1500 @ 14.4.

Try both then decide.that'll be the only way to determine which you'll like.

Thats what I want to do, but both are brand new and I don't want to hurt the resale value because 1 will have to go.

The AP afaik is a current hog. Both are good it'll come down to preference really though. Most will say the AP is junk an run the sundown, but its your money ya know. Idk which I would choose either though.

Is the Sundown really that much more efficient then the AP? I saw that the SAX is 86% efficient @ 4 ohm and the book for the AP says 85%. If there is a big difference I will go with the Sundown for sure.

the ap's are junk ,keep the sundown you'll be better off in the long run.seen too many ap's go up in smoke

I would go with the Sundown myself - the AP's are good for how much they cost but Sunsown is better quality -- IMO

I've decided to, I got the Sundown SAX-1200D for $182 and the SAX-50.4 for $126. I can't wait til they arrive and I have matching quality amps!

you should sell the sundown and get more than you paid for and get electrical to run the 1800 lol

I thought about doing that, but I want matching amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I got offered $200 for my 4.50 and that was tempting since I got it for $141 shipped, but I kinda like it lol.
