Does anyone know if the Sundown SA-8 can really handle 500 WRMS?
I’ve been looking at one here, but not sure if I believe an 8” sub can handle that?

I bet it can handle more. Sundown mostly underrates their stuff so the morons who know nothing about audio don’t blow them easily. These are the same people who say they got a 4000w planet audio amp that wangs!!

It should handle it fine. I've got 3K going to 4-8's. That's 750 watts each. I'm sure that they aren't really seeing that many watts after rise and everything. You should be safe with a 1K amp on that sub.
