just got it.

i dont have a box built yet and dont have a deffinate amp either.

it will be going in my 98 nissan pathfinder.

application is loud rap.

the amp i have now is a broken jl 1000/1 that i am getting repaired. i dontthink that will be enough power. but it might be with a large ported box and atleast will sound clean.

if i could run 2 jl1000's on it i def would. but i dont think u can strap the amps and i dont thing one on one vc and another on the other vc would be good.

electrical in my car is stock battery and 4 gauge wire.

QUESTION - what would be some good options for me to get this thing loud and sound good.

- also could i run 2 1000/s on it?

so general set up would be the 18 with a slot port 38hz in a 5^3 rectangular box firing back, running off of a jl 1000/1 and a batcap.

One on each voice coil will be fine.. Make sure you set the gains properly. And you're good to go.

sounds a lil dangerous,, if the amps are slightly off then a single voice coil former wil lbe trying to move in the direction of two slightly out of phase coils

It will be just fine... People do it all the time. Nothing wrong with it at all. Anything is dangerous when you dont know what youre doing..

keep the nightshade, upgrade to 1/0, do your big 3, get rid of the batcap for a deka or kinetik and run your jl amps

ive learned majority vote on ca.com is the best way to go.

so im waitn on my jl amp to get fixed then ill get a new alt and sum 0 gauge and big 3

i think ll be good, maybe replace the existing stock bat with yellow top
