SUNDOWN 3500D or 25000D???

I am helping a buddy do an install in his truck. He has 2 JL Audio 10W6v2 4ohm DVC subs. He wants to upgrade to 4 subs. The subs are rated at 400RMS each, so 1600RMS total on the 4. They wire to 2 ohms or .5 ohms, so I am going 2 ohms.

A few questions:

The SAZ-2500D is rated at 1200RMS

The SAZ-3500D is rated at 1750RMS

If I go with the larger, its only about 40 watts over the subs rating, but I THINK it will be ok. Can I get a recommendation??????? Do I under power them by ALOT or over power by a little???

Is the SAZ-1500D stable at .5 ohms?

Any clue what its rating is that low?

Hey do you not know you can set the gains on the 3500 where you want..you don't have to give them the full 1750...that's kind of enhance they all have adjustable gaines lol

man the 1500D will do .5, if u can keep the voltage up

Voltage might be an issue. He is running stock alternator, stock batteries.

So would he be better with the 3500 @ 2ohms or the 1500 @ .5?
