I know brands like Kicker/pioneer have different 'lines' of subs....

Are the SA12s the 'top of the line' from Sundown?

If not, where do they stand and what ARE the top of the line?

Also, what other subs can I get for around the SA12 price range that will give me the same if not better results?

Edit--- someone PMd me about C2 Audio Threatcon 2 12"s saying they were better than SA12s... dunno why he didn't just post. Anyone else know about em?

The SA series is second from the lowest in Sundown's line. First is the E, then the SD (which is a shallow mount SA), then SA, X and Z.

Look at C2 Audio, Tantric Sound, Fi and DC Audio also.

Currently zv4's would be the top of the sundown line when the nsv3's come out they will be at the top of the sundown world the SA series is the mid level sundown woofer I loved the pair of SA 12's I had.

Othe entry mid level 12's would b the ssa gcons, tantric md's don't know what those cost though, incriminator flatlines I think those are the ia mid level woofer, the list goes on.

For future reference you might want to just go to the sundown website and see what subs have the biggest number.

To answer your question No they are the standard line, Zv4 is their beast subs.

Other subs around SA 12's price range are american bass XFsL, C2 audio threatcon 2s, Skar VVXs, Obsidian Audio OAs, Incriminator audio Lethal Injections, DC audio level 2, SSA Gcon, Digital Designs 2500 series, FI SSD, Soundqubed SDC 2.0. All of them fit your description. Its mainly box designs and musical taste afterwards.

Depending on your personal goals, space limitations, and available space......there are an endless list options out there.

SSA gets my vote for cost per build quality and over all performance. However, Sundown, Obsidian, C2, IA, and many many others all have their place in the industry with different price points and quality of product.

Nope. The 2.5's are comparable to the SA's. The 2.0's are the entry level SQ. They're rated at 250 rms.

American Bass XFL they are more powerful and if you look around can be had at the same price as the SA line

Or you can just buy SQ/AQ subs if you limit it to that sub.
