I need 2 subs, amp, and wires for around $400-$500. Starting from scratch and need some suggestions on a whole setup. I don't expect the best, but not the worst either.

what kind of space do you have in the car? Probably going to want everything used.

You also need an enclosure. And you can likely do with 1 sub, whatever you wanna do with 2.

I agree, on a tight budget, a 1-sub setup is usually more cost effective.

If your starting from scratch why dont you save more more money and do it right the first time. I cant tell you how much mony I wasted half assing my system over the last 11 months(atleast $1000). If I would of planned more and spent some more in the begining i would not have rebuilt it 5 times in less then a year just to get to were I am now: Happy

2 SSA DCONs or DC level 2s and a kicker ZX750. A knuconcept 4awg amp kit. $30 in materials at home depot for a box. Under $550. Your electrical will be fine, no need for extra batteries or alternator.

most def! search around CL for a kicker 750. I got my first one for $150 and my current one for $100. The 07 models are better than the newer ones anyway.

true, the cables you buy are one of the most important components of your system, along with the woofer box, have a nice one made with the correct specs, and tuning depending on your listening style.
