Looking for a 4 channel amp for my door speakers.
I have two KS650.2 components up front and will be putting two more speakers in the rear. Probably another set of kicker 6.5's. They are 75wrms@4ohms.
So I need 300 or 350wx4@4ohms. ZX amps are all rated at 2 ohms... dammit.
I'm considering just getting a zx250.2 for the two fronts that I have now and when I get rear speakers just getting another to push them, but I've always heard the fewer amps you have the better.
Here's the thing. I feel like I need more low-midbass. If I put too much in my 6.5's they distort at high volume (running off the head, so maybe that has something to do with it.) I was considering 8's for the back doors, but I was told the sub would just drown them out. I mostly want to fill in the sound when the sub isn't hitting hard and there is still a bassline or some bass drumming. I don't like that empty feeling that I get on some CD's. But maybe 2 6.5's on a different amp could be set differently. Plus my HU (p980bt) has separate HPF's for front and rear.
So... anyway. Amp suggestions for my situation?
If it makes a difference, I have a 99 Tahoe.
