Suggestions for LOUD 6.5' midbass to keep up with PA mid/tweet

Looking for suggestions some 6.5" midbass to compliment my 6.5" pro audio Soundqubed mids and tweets. Have room for one pair and am looking for something to fill in the gap between the subs and the mids.

Requirements in order of importance:

6.5"

high power handling (100+ watts)

high efficiency

extended low frequency response for a mid. below 80Hz.

Was considering the Digital Designs W6.5, but DD seems to not like to post specs and I haven't heard them before. Also, $170 per driver aint cheap. What do they typically sell for?? For those who have heard them, what did you think? How'd they sound etc?

What are your subwoofer(s) crossed over at (LPF) ?

Is your sub stage not capable of playing up to 80hz for some reason (enclosure, eq, xover, etc.)

A mid-bass that will excel in the 60 -250hz range should fill in nicely with pro drivers and a proper sub stage

Friend has 2 of the sw6.5 in his R32. He wanted a stock look and had custom enclosures made they are a bit to small about .20 or so. But they sound pretty good. Not 100% which amp he is using but it's some JL amp. But they were very impressive looking in person for a 6.5 sub. He is thinking of selling them and do a single 8.

Subs low passed at 80Hz.

I know, right? That's why I'm asking for suggestions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You need to consider two very important factors:

1) A subwoofer will have much lower sensitivity than a midrange speaker of the same diameter. Such as 85 dB(1W/1m) for a 6.5" subwoofer vs a common 91-94 dB(1W/1m) for many 6.5" mids. This means the subwoofer is going to require a lot more power to give you equivalent output.

2) A speaker pod may not have the volume to properly support deep bass response from a subwoofer. Instead of thumping loudly at 50 Hz and lower, you might have a large knee in the response that quickly drops above 50 Hz. This can be predicted with software if you know the volume of the pods.

Either spend the money on the larger pods or let a subwoofer cover the midbass.
