Suggestions for a SQ sub.

Hey I am currently in the process of selling my XXX 15" and I am looking for something not quite as loud and with awesome sound quality. I really dont care if it doesnt get really loud just as long as it sounds good. I would prefer either 10's or 12's but no 15's. And I would like to keep using my Viper 1200 amp. And my musical preference is mostly rock. Thanks for any suggestions, Chief

FYI, I really dont want to spend over 300 and I dont care to much on it they are used. The JL w6's seemed to be about 250 new. I kinda wanted two subs.

W6's are amazing sounding drivers. You could also look into diamond (as mentioned), image dynamics, and if you can find some used ascendant stuff, it sounds great.

The xxx is supposed to have great SQ as well though, are you not happy with the sound? If you like the sound of the xxx, just give her a little less juice and it won't be as loud. Then you don't have to screw around with selling and searching for new equipment.

I'd reccommend a 12" Atlas. sounds amazing and could still pound in the right box. maybe even a shiva perhaps?

Could someone be more specific on which image dynamic and diamond subs you are saying have good sq. Really thinking about the w6's so if you know where I could find any new or used cheaply let me know. Out of the rlp's and the w6's what would you guys suggest for my car and to be run of my viper 1200 and what type of box? Thanks for everyones suggestions. Chief
