Subwoofers get hot on cones

Yes subwoofers get hot playing at full tilt on only on very hot days 90+ anyone else subs get hot?

apparently even a team aa 15 (4 inch coil) gets pretty hot on just a banda 7k. keep being told its cause its clipped but i dont see the clip light so who knows lol only clamped about 3kw

My amp does. Subs dont get hot anymore.

Chances are it the entire cones hot the ambient tempature is doing it.. if just the area where the former is touching the cone it's the former that's causing it..
