Substitute a section of a Power Wire for a Ground Wire?

Can I substitute a section of my Power Wire & use it for the Ground Wire for my Amp? My current ground wire is too short (2ft) and I need 3FT.

I got new stuff and the Ground Wire won't reach now and I don't want to go buy a whole new install kit if I can just cut off a section of my Power Wire and use it for the Ground Wire if I can without any issues. Thanks.

Wire is wire as long as its the same gauge, you can use it.

Just be sure to mark it as the ground some black tape on the end helps so u don't reverse the connection at the amp
