Subsonic JBL question

I just got a JBL 1201.1 to power my 12w7 and i just relized it doesnt have a subsonic filter. im going to be running the 12w7 in the JL recommended box tuend to 32 hz. is this going to be a problem? or is the SSF not even needed?

Subsonic information is already filtered out before the music is put onto CDs. If your going to listen to just music (and I think its a safe bet that you are), then you don't need it.

Then why do Most Amps have a subsonic filter and how come so many peopel tell u to set it correctly if it doesnt matter?

dude use the freakin Search feature this forum has.

Just get a pair of FMODS from harrison labs. They have a set for 20hz that should be fine.

Sorry man, my GF came over. DVD players output information below 20hz, hence the reason for a subsonic filter.
