Subsonic filter

I am about to finish up my enclosure for my AQ HD3 12. The box is tuned to 40hz per D.J. Where do i need to set my ss filter to protect the subs? Not real use to having such a high tuned box.

my jbl manual suggests 10 hz lower than box tuning.

i just did my 2 15in AQ in 8.5cb foot next @ 40hz and i set my ssf at 28hz

Thanks. I just did not want to take a chance on hurting the sub.

This also depends on how steep the slope is on your SSF.

Basically the lowest frequency the amp will send out to the sub.
