Subsonic filter

What is the best way to subsonic filter when my hu doesnt have the option and my amp doesnt either. Unless you guys know of a way to get an alpine 9885 and cadence 6004 to bandpass.

Are those little inline rca addon filters any good?

tune low and dont play songs under your tuning and you will be fine unless you like to play with gains.

I'm not running a subsonic, and have had no issues

Im thinking about tuning to 35, and i will be playing with gains, if you consider playing just setting them to 400 watts and be done. I read on another post about a person wanting to use my exact sub and port it and asked a question on if 400 was too much, since kicker recommends 300 in ported enclosures. They told him to just get a subsonic filter then he wouldnt have to worry about unloading.

You should be fine as long as you're not playing 20hz material at full volume. The cone will stay controlled by the port to about 25hz or so and not much music goes that low anyways.

Pipe organ recordings or pretty much anything under the Telarc label (their older recordings anyway - they now limit the LF on their recordings to the teens or low 20's because their recordings that dipped lower had customers complaining).

All genres have stuff that drops into the 20s and lower but they're usually few and far between unless you're looking at strictly bass/electronic stuff or pipe organ stuff. I have a low of rock, rap, classical, and electronic stuff that gets that low but I have looked really hard for them.

So what tuning should i put this box at, ive asked this many times and i have gotten so many different answers. I have gotten anywhere from 30-37, and now people on here are saying to tune low, but what is low for this sub. In the kicker manual it has an example box that comes out to 40hz on the re enclosure builder.

It depends on what you want out of the sub and what frequency response you like.

40 is too high and it will unload on more program material than say tuning to 33 Hz. 33 is low tuning and will play most stuff besides bass cd's and screwed jeezy.

Im just shooting for something louder then sealed but with still some sq to it, but i dont need either end of the spectrum, i dont need max sq or max spl.
