subsonic filter question

if you play anythign below the tuning freqency (lower the worse), the sub will play in a state simular to free air, and when you throw tons of power to a free air sub, it tends to die.......so moral of the story is if you dont have a SSF, DONT PLAY ANYTHING LOWER THAN UR TUNE....a few Hz lower is ok...but if you're at 32Hz, anything below 28Hz will be bad news fr ur sub......get an amp with a SSF on it, if you dont have that, then i happen to have an external SSF that plugs into ur RCAs that is for sale fairly cheap (brand new they're liek 40 shipped...ill do 15 shipped)...PM me if you need it (harrison labs PFmod inline subsonic filter)

Well the sub will factor into this as well, but a SSF is never necessary if you adjust everything properly (gain, x-over point, etc.).
X-over point? What if your deck doesn't have that function? What if the box is tuned to 50hz like mine? A SSF is necessary and is a good thing to have.
