If the box is a cube measure the height, width and depth of the inside in inches. Take those numbers, say it's 14X16X18, divide each by 12 and multiply them together. That is the cubic foot measurement of your box. If it's an odd shape you pretty much break it up into simple shapes, find the volumes of the simple shapes and add them together.
