sub wiring quick question

I just wired my subs in a parallel, two svc 4 ohms to one 2 ohm load. I used the entire wire to go from point to point, so theres the brass color and silver color, and i used both of them from point to point, i didn't split them. Is that okay or did i do it wrong?

As long as you didnt cross the wires. Yes thats fine.

wow because i hooked it up to my htib system and it didn't play.. maybe it will with the amp in the real system lol

Is the copper and silver speaker wire the same thing or are they specifically for ground or power

They are the same wires just have different coatings on them. Doesnt matter which is positive or negative. Did you say you hooked it up in the house? If I recall, HT setups usually run at 8-16ohms, safely.
