I'm lookin to depart from my 12 L7's....i dont know why but im just not as satisfied with them as i thought i would be and i want to get something else. Budget isn't really a problem and i want sq yet alot of spl too. I took a glance at the Pioneer spl subs earlier that are 3000 watts each and i was wondering if anyone had anything to say about em?

I'm tired of hearin about Type R's lol.....i would get Type X's but i aint rich lol

I don't see a Type X outperforming an L7 unless there are issues in the install. I'm probably wrong, but the Type X is an SQ woofer; appearantly the lower line, the Type R, can push higher dB numbers.

If you're looking for a noticable increase in SQ, and enough SPL to force new endeavors into sound deadening, the IA LI is a clear winner.

If you want unimaginably better SQ, with a noticably louder SPL, the SI Mag will take care of you quite well.

I don't see Type Rs fitting into this picture at all. The SPL won't be that much better, if better at all. The SQ is... debatable.. but probably not a big upgrade from your current sub.
