Sub suggestions for small boxes

I have two .65 ci boxes with a 5 1/2 maximum mounting depth. Looking for some suggestions on high quality subs that would work well in them. I'm looking more for SQ than volume but I want to be able to feel them. Thanks.

that is a very vauge question. what size subs? 10 inch or 8 inch? or possibly 12 inch? what kind of money you looking to spend? how many watts you got to work with? be ALOT more specific or else you will be flammed.

10" subs is what I'm looking for. Meant to include that in the original post but forgot. Don't want to spend more than $400 for the pair.

you got an amp to match them too, or no? for $400 a pair, you could get some real nice sounding subs, but how many watts you got@what load affects what will suit your needs.

I might have something for you thats similar to a RL-i 10 from sound splinter.

They dont need very large enclosures

I'll need to upgrade my amp for the new subs. I was just going to decide on some subs and then buy the right amp accordingly. Also if I can get some nice subs that are cheaper than $400 that's totally cool that's just the maximum I'm willing to spend.

Most 10's in that range will need about 300-500W rms.

There are so many options in that wattage range

The big issue I'm having is the mounting depth. I only have 5 1/2 inches to work with. The W3's someone mentioned above, for example, won't fit.
