Ive got 2 10" HDC3's and on the way to work today one of them started making a tinfoil like noise coming from inside the box, but sound like its coming from the one sub on the left based on where it sounds like the noise is coming from. What could have popped to make a tinfoil like noise???

which would cause it to be out of alignment and rub,,, but probably wouldnt give off the tinny sound of a voice coil that came uncvnted b/c of overheating...

I have installed a alpine sub and amp, using a line output converter it all works but the bass stays steady and does not change with the volume...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage

Don't forget Hoffman's Iron Law. You can have 2 of the 3: low end, efficiency/sensitivity or small enclosure size...
