okk right now i have one, Kenwood 2 channel excelon 1000 watt pushing 4 twelves , under powered, yes. so im trying to decide whether to get to kicker mono blocks and drop to 2 ohms, resulting in about 1600 watts or, another excelon, i can afford both, but with the excelon would i need a compacitor? and would it be any louder because it is more expensiev

The answer is already no to a cap.

But, what kind of vehicle is it? 2000watts may be "doable" on some factory electrical system, but chances are you will have to do some electrical upgrades.

its an 04 tahoe LT so it has the nice stero and bose speakers so the amp's are solely for the subs, and a new deck is next in line as well as a custom box but i want to get it pounding and first, and any reason why you would say no to a cap?

hahaha i dont need an amp? but, would the kickers be the way to go then, that's what im leaning towards, and i have gotten other professional advice saying that would be too, i forgot to mention the kenwood is 2 channel, if that changes your decisions
