Stupid question: Can i take a Dual 4 sub and a dual 1 sub and wire them together?

Hey guys

Can i take a dual 4 sub and wire it to 2 ohms, then take the same sub 1 ohm dvc and wire that to to 2 ohms, and then wire both subs together for a 1 ohm load? or will the 1 ohm dvc see more power on the amp?

seen a 9515g d1 in the classifieds and was wondering if i could wire it to my d4

no. mixing impedance is a no no

Wouldnt reccomend it.

technically you could do it, but the lower impedance will see more power. i wouldn't do it if i were you.

I figured each sub would get the same power because since they were both wired at 2 ohms before being paralleled. Thats if they were perfect voice coils at 4 and 1 ohms. Alright i guess ill have to wait for a dual 4 9515g to pop up.

The impedence shifts with frequency. They will not react identically at ANY frequency and will cancel each other.
