Well i stood in line for 2 1/2 hours this morning to get e chance at a nintendo wii but about 10 emo kids were already in line because they spent the night in front of the store...gehyness but i did get a 60GB PS3 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

ebgames at the mall had a shipment sunday of wii's. i still want one. just remember to get a new strap as they recalled the stock straps since everyone would get so into it that the remote would fly out of their hand and the strap would be too loose and break a window and crack a tv.

only morons with no self control AT ALL break straps. you have to be flailing your arms insanely fast to let go of the remote, and break a strap.

Anyway be glad you didn't get a Wii. It sucks. It's just a mildly enhanced GameCube with a new controller system. (CPU and GPU are both simply faster versions of the GC processors, and it has a bit more RAM.) GameCube was pretty good, yes, but in this day and age (relative to the competition of 360 and PS3) the Wii is a joke.

actually i played a ps3 on saturday.... it was COD3 resistance and fight night. although really fun to play (of course! its a video game system!!) the graphics were barely better than my top-of the-line-3-years-ago computer system hehe

Fight Night is sick but I was never really into computer systems because it's hardER to play the games with your friends.....

Wii is a fun system though....Downloaded Zelda last night and played it for a LONG time...still haven't opened up the new Zelda and Madden

my buddy has a wii. Got it for $250 and it's entertaining, but not worth $250 to me.....It's too "active" to play when im bored at 3 in the morning if that makes sense.

Graphics aren't horrible on the Wii either. COD 3 is fun on it as well.

Most stores around me you can walk right on in and buy a PS3 anytime you wish. They just aren't selling. Now Wii's on the other hand, they can't keep em on the shelf. I'll stick with my Wii.

Nothing is more fun then playing the Wii while drinking. Watching people try and be coordinated makes it much more entertaining and it's much cheaper than PS3. I have no urge to get one for another year or so after price drops. I have my 360 and any game on PS3 that I would want is coming out on 360 as well.

Wii has sold 4x the units as PS3, not 10x. Why? Easy. People are pennywise and pound foolish, it's that simple.

Right Sony and MS are using essentially the same controllers. Hmm okay they're using one item that is essentially the same. What's Nintendo using that's essentially the same? Everything but the controller. Still no HD, still using DPL-II, CPU is the same just a little faster, same thing for the GPU, a little more RAM (but nowhere near the RAM of the other consoles), and a new controller. Ooooh Sony and MS used one thing the same whereas Nintendo used 10 things the same. The argument about using something the same doesn't hold up when you consider how back-dated the Wii really is.

Again, I'm not a fanboy at all. In fact I had really high hopes for the Revolution and those hopes continually went downhill as Nintendo continued to release more one disappointing detail after the next about what then became the Wii.

I would take a Wii over a PS3 anyday.

Besides...games for the PS3? Aside from Resistance there is nothing I would buy for the PS3 right now. Especially now that sony lost GTA totally

You have a point there yeah but c'mon no game system has every game you want for it right at release. Look at 360, Halo still isn't out and it's a year later. I don't see anything spectacular or interesting for Wii either.

But in the meantime, while neither Wii or PS3 have many good games guess what? The PS3 you can use it to watch Blu-Ray movies in high-def. The Wii? It's just a paperweight until more games come out.

Tired of what? Posts from someone who hoped for something good from Nintendo but was sadly let down big time? Also I didn't get a PS3, I didn't get any next-gen console. I don't even play that many videogames. I'm just saying Wii is a huge disappointment to me, considering I loved the GameCube. Also do everyone a favour and stop shouting--you're tired remember what's the point of shouting?

Honestly, how many people would spend $100 more for a PS3 over a 360?

Add the price of the HD-DVD drive and Wi-Fi to the 360. See which one really costs more. Say you saw a Kicker ZX750.1 for $100 less than a Kicker ZX1000.1 but the latter comes with a Kicker 0 gauge kit, some speaker wire, and has free shipping... Perhaps you might say "why spend the additional money on the ZX1000.1 it's not worth it?" But hello you forgot to add the wiring kit, speaker wire and price of shipping to the first amp. After those things, which one is actually the better deal? C'mon now really.

The Wii is perfectly priced for the moderate, casual gamers out there. It appeals to a larger range of age groups as well...

Wii is a huge ripoff no doubt about it. It should be $80-$100 less for what you're actually getting. You're paying 3x the price of a GC for a slightly faster system with a little more ram and a controller. Nintendo is making tons of money on those systems. Good for them yes, but who's the sucker?

PS3 is a Blu-Ray player to start with. Do you know how much the cheapest stand-alone Blu-Ray player is? It's more expensive than the PS3. So before you even talk about the gaming system the PS3 is already worth it. Then add to that fact that the PS3 is a cutting edge gaming system with more power than any of the other consoles and you're telling me PS3 is not worth it? Gimme a break.

Who's really getting ripped off? It's like buying a Nissan Versa for $28,000 v. buying a BMW M6 for $65,000. The Versa is worth like half its price; the M6 is worth like double it's price. Which one is the better deal?

Sure the PS3 costs moreon the absolute scale but it's a heck of a lot more for your money.

All that aside I will say that the Wii does have a pretty cool control system, or so I heard from a lot of people. That's all fine and good and at least the Wii isn't a total writeoff. I'm sure Nintendo is happy with the sales numbers with all the people ready to get ripped off by them as well. It still doesn't change the fact that that Wii is NOT worth it. I'd much rather stick with my GC than buy a Wii; whereas with the PS3, though I'm not going to buy one anytime soon, at least I'm not going to feel ripped off if I did.
