NFL: Top Three Standout Teams in 06/07 season?

I'm writing an essay on this for school. We had our own choice of the topic so I picked this. So what do you guys think and why? Top three STANDOUT teams this season. Doesn't mean they have to be the best in the league.. could be a team that stood out that is the worst in the league.

If I had to choose I would pick the colts since manning finally made it to the superbowl, the ravens for their defense, and the raiders because of their whole organization.

For this year I would have to say for one the saints bc of all that they've overcome this season with katrina and whatnot and ontop of that they won their first playoff game in franchise history. And then the bears for such a turnaround season and going to the superbowl and then the ravens bc like you said they have a badass defense.

Saints, 3-13 last year to 13-3 this year.

Bears, finally made it back to the bowl and did it with force.

Steelers, Big Ben sucks. I mean yea he should be dead but like they said Bench the bastard.

I cant say the Ravens cuz of there defense. There defense is always sick.

Saints would be the most logical choice, 3-13 then 13-3 this season. First playoff appearance in 20 years. Not only that, they had a first round bye and made it to their conference championship game. Oh and Cleveland for ******* *** again, go Browns!

And... The Bengals because they had like 9 team arrests FTW.

Saints because of the huge turnaround

Bears becuase they made it

as for the thrid no other team is sticking out to me, somone said the colts, well there defence played very well in the postseason and carried em there. Payton did his usaul and by that i mean **** in hte playoffs. Chargers lost in playoffs again with there strong team. So its up in the air IMO

LOL, I was wondering if somebody was going to catch that.

Saints is obvious choice for obvious reasons.

Colts..finally made it to the super bowl and Peyton beat the Pats.

Bears..struggling QB, all the tradition, first black coach in Super Bowl.

You could combine the colts and bears and go with the first black coaches in super bowl, and obviously it will be the first time a black coach wins.

Another option...Cowboys, lol. T.O. problems and the Rise and Fall of Romo. Lots of story with that team. Bill Parcells just retired too.

If you go with the raiders, make sure you point out that the organization is so horrible that a college assistant coach turned down the job LOL (steve sarkeshan (sp?) USC Asst. Coach).

Saints because of all the shit the city has went through. Then you cant forget the nasty surgery Brees went through and had a MVP type year.

Chargers cause they just had a great season, from having for the most part a rookie qb come in and have an outstanding year. Then LT, what cant you say about LT. The guy is just amazing to me. Also one of the better defenses out there. Bears cause it is amazing for them to make it as far as they have with Rex Grossman at the helm. That in itself is unreal!

Also, why did the OP mention the Raiders? The Raiders havent done nothing since their embarrssing defeat by the Buccaneers in the Super Bowl.
