ok, i just put some stuff in my friends car, just an amp, sub and used a line level converter because she dosnt have an after market headunit...so i get everything together and listened to some music, well the sub just moves a little constantly even if there is no music, and it dosnt play music either...what could cause this, i believe its the converter somehow...what do you think it is?

you have it hooked up wrong. it will be something with the signal it is receiving. might want to double check everything you did. and maybe try some better rca's from the LOC to the amp

what kind of LOC do you have

I have one of these from walmart

the switch on the left should be set to Line Out

and the "gain" adjustments for each channel should be set all the way up

not to sure on what kind, got it from BB... but when you say hooked up wrong you mean as in the (+) and (-) or left and right?

What kind of car and where did you get the signal from? A lot of cars have factory cut signals, you could be picking up a high range signal instead of a full range or low signal. More info would be helpful.
