stuck between sq woofer setups, opinions?

I have a tc epic 10 tuned to 28 given 750rms @ 2ohm. Got rid of my car, bought a 2015 Honda Fit, smaller trunk. With a kid on the way, I need my trunk space. I must sacrifice. Putting the Tc Epic in my wifes car.

I like SQ, I don't like my music heard outside my car. I like nice sq sound for country music mostly, some rap but I don't like boomy car raddling base. I just want controlled SQ and I don't have much money to spend. I am looking at max, 300-350RMS. I need something in a fairly small box. Both of these get decent reviews all over, when being evaluated as an 8in woofer and not being compared to 12s.

JL Audio CP108LG-W3v3 (cp108lgw3v3) (4 ohms Final Impedance)

The alpine I can get for $150, JL for $240. Opinions? I've nevered owned an Alpine or JL sub before.
