Have you tried this? The trial versions I have seen only allow you to convert 30-90 seconds to mp3.

You suggested a program that costs money. Which isn't what I wanted, but what I will be forced to do.

i'm suggesting legally downloading music and *cough* obtaining a program that removes its silly restrictions.

But in all honestly, I think the best bet is downloading music legally from a different source that does not put restrictions on its files. This not only eliminates your problem, but with the increase in traffic moving toward non-drm sites, other sites will be encouraged (or even forced) to move to non-drm file types as well. But I understand that you may have a particular attachment to your current downloading service, and for this i suggest my first option.

I personally use ruckus to download my music because it is free to college students, but it comes with drm protection.

If i was forced to pay for my music, I would find a drm-free service. I have none to suggest because I have not had this problem myself.

Broadcasted transmissions are intellectual property as well. But they can't make them however they want.

This tom foolery they do is still acceptable. It may be a hassle in your eyes, but no one forced you to buy it that way. They don't hide the fact. You could have researched all this before hopping aboard.

i do this as well. Tunebite has definitely been worth th $30 I spent on it. I have downloaded a shit ton of music from Ruckus for free over the last year. At least a good 200 albums, which would be $2000 by itunes standards.
