strapping 20.1's

ok, after doing a ton of searching, maybe im just dumb and cant find it, but i need to know what i can expect as far as strapping two of these amps. i will either have my subs wired to 2 ohms or .5, can anyone tell me what to expect out of these amps strapped at these loads?

ok, thanks man, i didnt find that the first time.

but at .5, wouldnt each amp see .25? i thought they would only play daily down to .35

strapping amps isn't really that big of a deal, some companies say that a pair of amps will do 1000rms but a strapped pair will do 2400 at double the impedence which is wrong

if a pair of amps can only produce 1000rms each, then they won't be able to do anymore than 2000rms at double the impedence

Yeah, and lots of it.

I say if you have the electrical to support it... and don't drop below tuning... it's possible to strap them @.5ohms

But, still risking it.

Strap them at 2 ohms daily. .5 for burps if that is what you are after. I dont recommend that you run them at .5 strapped daily. The amps can handle it, but your electrical system more then likley wont be able to handle the amount of current needed to supply the amps on a regular basis.

I know they can be burped VERY low, lower then what you are wanting to strap them at...but that was for burps, not for daily.

thanks for the info. so at 2 ohms strapped, each amp will see a one ohm load, so i should expect the listed 3600 watts or is that a conservative rating?

I dont think there you would have a problem strapping at .5. Tommy(Ho Problems) runs his around there on 16 volts daily and never had a problem. I played music on my van numerous times with the amps strapped at .35 running off one battery and never had an issue. I think you will be fine. All you can do is try it.
